What cookies are
Cookies are small files a site stores on your device. We also use similar storage, such as the session that keeps you signed in. This policy should be read with the Privacy Policy.
How we use them
Notifiable uses cookies for the product itself:
- Essential cookies keep you signed in, protect forms against cross-site requests, and complete GitHub, Google, or Apple sign-in.
- Preference cookies remember the last workspace and the last app you opened, so the dashboard can return you there.
- Product analytics, through PostHog, records page views and how the website and dashboard are used. PostHog stores an identifier in your browser. We create a profile for you after you sign in. We do not use this for advertising.
We do not set advertising cookies, and we do not use Google Analytics or Facebook Pixel.
The cookies we set
- The session cookie identifies your signed-in session. It is HttpOnly and uses SameSite Lax.
- The XSRF token lets the dashboard reject a forged form submission.
- notifiable_last_workspace and notifiable_last_app remember your place in the dashboard.
- A short-lived cookie may be set while GitHub, Google, or Apple sign-in is in progress.
- PostHog may store an analytics identifier in local storage or a cookie so page views on the website and in the dashboard stay on the same visit.
GitHub, Google, Apple, and Paddle may set their own cookies when you use their sign-in or checkout. Those cookies follow their policies.
Your choices
You can refuse or delete cookies in your browser, and you can sign out to end the session. Notifiable cannot keep you signed in or protect forms without the essential cookies. Blocking them will stop sign-in and the dashboard from working.
Changes
We may update this policy. The date at the top of the page will change when we do.
